Nz statistic

-Obesity 

  • 48% of Maori adults were obese in New zealand.
  • 68% of Pacific adults were obese New zealand.
-Smoking 
  • 9.8% of New Zealand's smoke when they are just 15 years old. 
  • 5000 people die a year and including 13 people die a day from smoking in New zealand. 
- cancer
  •  Cancer is the leading cause of death in New Zealand accounting for 29.4% of all deaths.
- exercise

  • women aged 65 years and over are less likely to be physically active and more likely to be sedentary than women aged under 65 years in New zealand.
  • men aged 75 years and over are less likely to be physically active and more likely to be sedentary than those men under 75 years in new zealand.
